The Baader VariLock T2 extension tubes are two continuously adjustable extension rings in the T2 system (M42 x 0.75 thread). The extension tubes can be adjusted to the required length by loosening or locking rings using the millimetric scale.
To lock the adapter in position, you can use the included tool.
The Baader VariLock 29 is more than a simple M42 (T2) extension. It is a complete adapter system to achieve exact focus distances:
- Continuous adjustment from 20mm to 29mm
- High rigidity
- Millimetric scale
- The M42 (T2) thread on the camera side can be replaced with any Baader Wide-T-Ring adapters
VariLocks are ideal tools for setting exact flattener-reducer distances.
As a further application, the T2 thread on both VariLocks can be removed on the eyepiece side by loosening the grub screws (Allen key included in the scope of delivery) and replaced by a dovetail ring, which can be fixed directly on Baader Wide-T-Rings for camera mounts like EOS, Protective for Canon, Nikon F bayonet as well as all other rings with 52mm dovetail ring.
