Geoptik Hercules wood tripods are an excellent choice for mounts such as the (with adapter ), , , , and , Losmandy GM8 and G11 (with adapter ), iOptron iEQ30, iEQ45, CEM40, CEM60, CEM70, CEM120, GEM45 (with adapters and #30H153), Avalon M-uno, M-zero and Linear, ZWO AM5 (with adapter #30A155) and Sharpstar Mark III (with adapter TE-PIER2000-MARK3).
Made of the finest beech wood treated for outdoor use, the Hercules offers excellent stability, vibration damping and heavy load capability. The base plate is finely CNC machined and anodized.
Available in either red or black.
The height of the tripod can range from 700 mm to 850 mm via aluminium extenders. These extenders are reversible, offering the possibility of a rubber or metal tip. The triangle support is laminated beech and has five holes for 1.25" eyepieces and three holes for 2" eyepieces, as well as a section to hold small parts such as screws, filters, etc. The tripod legs also feature three holes each for 1.25" & 2" eyepieces.
The Hercules can also be connected directly to the ZWO PE200 pier extension for AM-series mounts using the following parts:
- 2 x M5 socket cap head screws - 35 - 40mm thread length
- 4 x regular washers - 10mm outer diameter
- 2 x spring washers - 5mm internal diameter
- 2 x M5 hex nuts
