The Baader Morpheus 76° eyepiece starter set includes three Morpheus eyepieces (4.5, 9 & 14mm) and a special protective case with utility bag for small accessories.
Baader Morpheus 76° eyepieces provide an ultra-sharp 76 degree undistorted flat field, which is unsurpassed by any other modern widefield eyepiece. The on-axis sharpness and contrast rivals even the legendary Zeiss Abbe planetary eyepieces. The absence of distortion in the eyepiece enables you to oversee the full field at once and to easily find the best viewing position, while enjoying a spacewalk feeling unmatched by others.
Both 1.25" and 2" barrel connections without undercuts are included with safety kerfs to prevent slippage. Due to their shape, design and low weight, the Morpheus eyepieces are the best eyepieces to use in a binoviewer. No other eyepiece series has been designed consistently for this use, while offering the same (true) field angle, minimized vignetting and providing a 55 mm outer housing diameter throughout, to allow binoviewing even for children with just 55 mm interpupillary distance.
Baader's Phantom Group coating is a 7-layer broadband anti-reflective coating with extremely low residual reflection. Each group of lenses has this coating applied. The coating has been optimized so that they are most effective where the human eye has its greatest sensitivity at night, at around 520nm.
